Venus in the 5th House - Cosmic Carnival

“When I say be creative I don’t mean that you should all go and become great painters and great poets. I simply mean let your life be a painting, let your life be a poem.”   - Osho

All of the indulgence life has to offer will be her enrapture. Venus is the planet of luxe, lavish, and love. Lyrics, theatre, colour emulsion, dance, leisure, and laughter relate to self expression of Venus in the fifth and the grand magnificence of being.

The mind, self, and spirit’s highest vibration is creating with Venus in the fifth. Relishing in the pleasures and confectionery of life brings great joy to the inner child who needs her sweet song to be heard. There may be a tremendous love of children, especially babies. Young children could be attracted to the Venus in the fifth presence because it is filled with balloons, imagination, Disney stories, and paintboxes. As a parent she could be friendly and encouraging, and likely a lot of fun. But Venus is vain and concerned with appearances. Maybe she focuses attention on the physical beauty of the child and neglects the importance of inner beauty. Regardless, she is probably gracious and tenderhearted as a parent. There is rich appreciation for the diamond frosted aesthetic beauty of her surroundings. Pastel backdrops, retro rouge, peach lipstick, pineapple candles, photos with friends, flickering lanterns are the tapestry that creates the artwork of life with Venus in fifth. It’s like she is a glowing balloon filled with iced sugar, melody, cloud pillows, and cocktails.

Existence is a celebration with Venus in the fifth. Everything she does is art, from her handwriting to the way she styles her clothes. Sex is a passionate expression of the self, drawing from the poetry of her heart’s muse. It is blissful to luxuriate amongst the social scene and open up the playground for her inner child. When she expresses her inner world through creative outlets she radiates pleasure and elation, and it’s like the whole zodiac can hear the songs playing from her kingdom. The individual is concerned with the image she presents to the world and finding the Disney love story. She falls into lust quickly and may experiences multiple romances across her lifetime. The feeling of love in her life lets her spirit shine and her creative genius soar. Venus in the fifth is the gloss of every smile and the warmth of every hug. Affection and beauty is tangled around the heart, she is sky princess and child of the sun, her light is her canvas, her body is an art gallery and her self expression is an art galaxy.

Venus in Leo - Singing the Celestial Sonnet

I fear no fate (for you are my fate,my sweet)I want no world (for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you - E.E Cummings

The sun shines when Venus in Leo is in love. Upon the cosmic romance carousel, the individual radiates from the heart throne and plans dalliance fit for a Queen. There is a theatrical display of love that seems written straight from a Broadway play. Life and social expression is colourful, quirky, and animated, and the emotional temperament is typically filled with exuberance, animation, and pleasure. The individual is deeply responsive to validation and reactive to criticism or rejection. Most things, including comments on the individual’s tastes and preferences will be taken personally. There is a profound sensitivity in Venus Leo people. The heart is so raw, powerful, and innocent that the ribcage must become a security guard.

Romance is painted with a mystical display of idealism, role play, imagination, and safety. The individual craves the feeling of being cherished in the arms of a protective figure and told that everything will be okay. For all the independence, a Venus in Leo without a cub to return home to at night becomes very lonely and deflated. The Venus Leo heart retains its childlike embroidery until the end of life. Leo rules the heart and Venus is the astrological love potion. This is the cascade of pure, lavish unconditional love. The individual is proud of loved ones, often perching them on a pedestal and bragging about them to friends and strangers. Anything that inflames emotion will touch the heart and dispel a tremendous creative dance. The creative mind and spirit plays with emotion and love with Venus in Leo. She may be a dazzling performer, artist, or internet figure. Individual style can be cool, unusual, bright, and fun. Betrayal will be deeply humiliating and painful. Some may regard the individual as demanding, because she may constantly require validation, attention, and praise. The most important thing is that she is reminded she is safe and loved. A fear of abandonment can generate periods of hysteria.

A Venus in Leo heartbreak is enough to shake the sun. A Venus in Leo love can move the planets in a romantic symphony. There can be nothing more delightful or warming than watching a Venus in Leo sing the songs of bluebirds when the heart is swept away. The individual is responsive to the opinion of other people but typically unwilling to compromise her personal style or taste. But there are so many that love her for exactly who she is. So there is never really a need to change, she is the sun for people, they are illuminated by her presence. There is an admirable social grace with Venus in Leo. The golden radiance is impossible to miss, it brings joy, fairyfloss and the enchantment of childhood. The individual absolutely warms the lives of others, and typically makes tremendous sacrifices for those she holds closely. There can be a commendable generosity and the natural urge to spoil and satisfy in marvelous displays of devotion. Venus in Leo people are made to love and made to be loved.

Jupiter in the 7th house - Lucky Seventh Heaven

“Meeting you was like winning the lottery”

When Jupiter is spinning the love lottery wheel place your bets on lucky 7. Individuals born with Jupiter in the 7th house are philosophers of matters of the heart, and the grand crusade of searching and finding love is the meaning of life and existence. There is a genuine appreciation for human company as she exalts those before her to forms of Gods and Goddesses. Even the most basic of social encounters present an opportunity to see through a different mind’s eye and learn more about herself. The fondness is for storytelling, voyaging through extensive brilliant minds and myths, and acquiring a greater perspective through her social exchanges. Jupiter in the 7th is a mirror expanding the width of the universe and she flies lovers to the end of the horizon. Her romance is like sucking star sherbet and feeling sky high, her lover basking in the amber glow that she is reflecting off them and tasting every flavour of the world. The mind is like a rainbow colour palette that mixes meaningful experiences, the prayer of shared delight, and the spiritual teachings that arrived through everyday conversation and guidance. The natural attraction is to free spirited but emotionally complex lovers, stranded travellers, influencers who activate her wild side, and lovers that can teach her something new everyday and give a language to her philosophy. She is more interested in backpacking through the mind, body, and soul of her lover rather than taking an overseas trip.

Relationships can be quite serendipitous with Jupiter in the 7th. There may be numerous chance encounters, a wish granted by the love well while traveling, or missing the train but catching love. The universe seems to provide her with relationship advice in abstract events such as a sudden reversal of fortune indicating that she has picked a winner, or numerous obstacles where fate seems to keeps them at a distance. It also relates to big, animate, and festive weddings and a need for fun, spontaneity, and good conversation. The 7th house is an evasive and undefined residence, and Jupiter inflates the desire, allure, and abundance of whatever it contacts. This descending hall of mirrors is immensely large and disproportionate. Loved ones can really swell the heart, pour honeycomb warmth into her emptiness, and remind her that life is good. It can also make solitude quite an unnerving time, there can be a sense of great loss or uncertainty about the future and what to do in the here and now. In the silence, she can hear her heat beating for human warmth like thunder. Happiness, hope, and faith is regulated by her company and shared so generously that she completely depletes her personal supply. The 7th house is also where our undeveloped and unacknowledged qualities hide inside other people. There is a necessity for autonomy and briefly frequent vacations from her partner. It’s possible that she becomes inexplicably agitated, critical, excessive, and flighty following lengthy close contact. There may be subconscious behaviour intended to push her partner away so that she catch a breath of fresh air, and the projections here can really veil the ability for insightful awareness. This means she can deeply bewildered or enraged when her lover begins to walk away. When she does not ask for independence, freedom, and self-regulation, her mind and body will demand it through other methods. Relationships are the wine, spice, and lime of life with Jupiter in the 7th, but they are also very highly stimulating and demand a disproportionate amount of focus in life. There can be an excessive social load that results in burn out, identity or spiritual crises when faith and happiness swings like a see-saw and cannot be maintained with movement.

Romantic ideals can swell so lavishly with Jupiter in the 7th that she feels deeply betrayed when her happiness is dropped by somebody who didn’t know they were holding it. This is why it’s vital for her inner balance, value and substance to separate into solitude and bloom the flowers from the seeds of joy planted together. Jupiter is a spiritual temple, so part of this unquenchable appetite is for the divinely universal relationship. She can see the source of God illuminating from her lover, she may even be somebody who worships or looks highly upon partner as if they are a supreme force. The beginning of realising that divine spark that she is searching for in a lover is reflecting a force belonging to her. It just so happens that the pleasure of company is a form of prayer, and the sovereign deities inside of everyone activate with their brightest light and most vivid manifestation. The individual has a remarkable regenerating, refreshing, and inclusive auric field, and her loved ones hold her like they have won a special prize on seventh heaven, that she gives their lives hope and meaning. In return, these friends and loved ones are considered rich blessings for Jupiter in the 7th. She can feel like she has won the love lotto with the people in her life, and revels in celebrating their presence through surprise birthday parties, grand gatherings, and heartfelt charity. The assets of wealth, abundance, and purpose with Jupiter in the 7th is measured by the generous love she is capable of giving and receiving in return.

Cancer

Queen Bee
Ruling From the Honeycomb Throne

“Your lips, beloved, are like a honeycomb: honey and milk are under the tongue. And the smell of your clothes is like the smell of my home.”
John Berger

Cancer is the cosmic mixture of Milk and Honey, the only liquid that is poured from the wells of the Promise Land. Milk and honey is rich in spiritual, alchemical, and feminine properties and was used in many ancient medicines and rituals. Milk is the nectar of the moon that rules Cancer, and the cosmic cream that nourishes young life as breastmilk. Honey is the syrup that softens the female organs in preparation for childbirth and physical intimacy. For the ancients, it represented a very real product of transmutation. Pollen is the knowledge harvested from the flowers of experience and knowledge and cultivated into the gold of wisdom. Like honey, wisdom does not exist without conscious harvesting. The geometric harmony of the beehive’s shape illustrated the materialisation of divine law and unity. The axis of Cancer and Capricorn embodies the spiritual path, wisdom, creative hierarchy, human potential, civilisation, law, spirit and matter, and manifestation. This oppositional point is where the alchemist transmutes lead into gold. Jung described this as the psychological process of ‘individuation’ or reunifying the conscious and unconscious self.

The bee is an ancient symbol of the Sacred Goddess, Divine Feminine, and royalty through its matriarchal hierarchy and immortalisation of its Queen, flowers and pollination, and the fragrance of honey. The taste of honey was said to be the sugar syrup of the mystical, the food of the Gods, the delightful saccharine of everything gorgeous and sweet in the spiritual and material world, and Cancer personifies this holy nectar. The Prophetesses intoxicated with honey as a form of divine intimacy and enlightenment, as the essence symbolised divine mother’s milk and a passage of reunion. The gold of honey is the product of a tear in the sun from where the bee was created, and the bee is the alchemical symbol for the realisation of spiritual reality. Biblical texts include Milk and Honey in multiple references, such as ‘promising a land flowing in milk and honey so that your days may be prolonged’, and ‘My son, eat thou honey, because it is good… So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul…’ in Proverbs 23:14. The wisdom of this flowing honey reveals Matriarchal Consciousness, Feminine Warrior Energy, Unconditional Love, Death and Rebirth, Prosperity, Divine Blessings, and the Abundance of Service.

Neith is a Cancer Goddess, her name deriving from the Qabalistic ‘to be’. The ancients ascribed her the ‘Eldest, Mother of Gods’, and within her the House of the Bee is revealed, and so Cancer’s connection with the infinite, creative source resides inside. On the axis of Cancer and Capricorn stands the Two Great Gates. Neith declared that “I am all there is, and all there has ever been,’ recognised as the ‘Opener of the Ways’ and the first breath of consciousness that appeared on earth. Cancer is the ‘Gate’ that heavenly spirits pass through to enter the birth of existence, the the great cosmic mother who is all there is and all there has ever been. Every sign is sourced through this Cancer energy known as the waters of mass existence. Every soul incarnates through Cancer, every so every sign still retains the spiritual cells of Cancer inside and recognises these as the Mother Goddess. This origin is of course, impossible to physically retrace as Neith may have suggested, ‘no mortal man hath ever me unveiled.“ As so is the origin of bees, a mystery we are still yet to uncover. On the opposite side of the axis, we depart through the ‘Gate’ of Capricorn into God’s Kingdom. Cancer is the first sign of the zodiac wheel in esoteric astrology. We always begin and end in Cancer, and into the procession of Leo or Taurus and back toward Cancer depending on the cycle our soul is following. The energy of Cancer is the oldest and the wisest. The preserver of ancestral magic, the water our spirit longs to return to, the divine essence of the cosmos.
